The Stall of Higher Thought

Facebook Regular Privacy “Mistakes” TOO Frequent.

Another month and yet another Facebook privacy “mistake”.

For me this is all too convenient of trend with Facebook as it struggles to monotonize it’s massive user base. Especially since it’s Beacon strategy was shelved.

As much as people want to believe that Facebook puts their privacy first it’s privacy track record clearly demonstrates otherwise.

Facebook needs to generate revenue from it’s users and the ONLY way it can see to do this is to SELL their profiles to advertisers and marketers who are chomping on the bit to exploit the rich bounty of brainless Facebookers ready to drop hard earned dollars on everything from virtual gifts to digital farm implements.

Facebook’s current trajectory may still be climbing but anyone who has been around long enough knows business models and investors are very fickle things when running a web business and I’m starting to wonder if the clock is ticking for Facebook and it’s long struggle to sellout it’s user base for as high amount as possible.
